Q: How do I know when I am dealing with a professional crime scene cleaning company?
A: There are a few things that one should look for when picking a crime scene cleaning company. First, look at its employees. Are they well versed in this field? Do they have experience in dealing with the task at hand? SMRS has over 40 years experience in dealing with crime and trauma scenes. Second, look at the company's service. Many companies will tell you they are experts in the field when they are merely companies that perform many other functions (i.e. these are what's referred to in the business as "Mop and Bucket" companies). While these companies serve a purpose, they seldom have the specialized training that SMRS and other reputable crime scene cleaning companies have. SMRS's technicians have been through more than 100 hours of training in the field.

Q: I have had something happen in my home that has resulted in a biohazard. What do I do?
A: Don't worry about it, but be concerned about your family. Call Sensitive Matters as soon as you can and let us take care of the rest. We will advise you as to what your options are and assist you in returning your home's condition to a more normal state. Remember, it is very unhealthy to leave something like this go unattended and equally unhealthy to let anyone but a professional perform the job.

Q: I don't have homeowner's insurance. What do I do?
A: Call Sensitive Matters Recovery Specialists. We will work with you to get the job done. While we are in business to make money, we always will put the job of returning your home to normal first. There are many different options we have to finance the cleanup of your home or building.

Q: When will I be able to get back into my home?
A: This depends on the severity of the cleanup. Any company that is going to give you a time frame over the phone along with an estimate is probably not the company you want doing the job for you. SMRS will come to your home, provide you with a FREE estimate and will be out within a few hours of that estimate and not leave until the job is finished. Our goal is two-fold: first, to get you back into your home (if you are displaced); and second, (and more importantly) safely mitigate, package and dispose of all biohazards present.
