"...granted, I didn't see the scene after my father passed away, but from what my husband says, it was horrible. Your company did such an excellent job, that had a piece of the carpet not had to be taken out, you would never have known that anything happened."
-Recently received from a customer after SMRS was there for them.

Unfortunately, tragedies can occur at any time and without warning. Families and friends are left not only with the mental stress of this drastic change in their lives, but also a traumatic scene. They shouldn’t have to deal with cleaning and restoring that environment back to it’s original state. This can be both physically and mentally taxing, further compounding the trauma of the incident and delaying the grieving process. This is where our services come in. Below you will a description of our crime scene cleanup, what it entails, and some more information on the types of cleaning services we offer. Feel free to read below and explore the links on the top left that describe some of the scenes we cover and, as always, please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Crime Scene
At the scene of a crime, when the investigation is over and the authorities have moved out, the reality of what has happened sets in when a survivor looks at the magnitude and scope of the situation and what it is going to take to perform the crime scene cleanup. Survivors are already dealing with the loss of a loved one or a co-worker by moving the stages of the grieving process – dealing with the cleanup of the scene should not be part of that. Whether it’s a residence or place of business; families and employees alike are often left to do the cleaning. Not only can this be traumatic for anyone, but working with contaminated materials such as blood, feces, urine, or other body fluids can be extremely hazardous to your health without the proper protection and training.

SMRS has spent hundreds of hours in specialized training to prepare them for dealing with crime scene cleanup and other death and trauma related cleaning services. Our services are renowned throughout the industry as being very reasonable. SMRS works closely with insurance companies to minimize the property owner/family in dealing with any part of the aftermath and this includes the cost for our services. Our main goal is to assist the family members of victims in returning their home to a pre-loss condition. When cost is a concern, SMRS will work with a service-first approach to the situation and insure that the tragedy or crime scene cleanup is done professionally at minimal financial impact to all parties involved. Several payment options exist. Call us immediately, and a representative with our company will answer all your questions and assist you with returning your property to what it was like before the tragic event happened.

Police Car / Cruiser, Processing Area, and Cell Block Decontamination
Our trauma scene cleanup services extend to all levels from residential to government buildings. When your officers process prisoners they have arrested, many times these individuals may have conditions that can leave their mark even after they have been processed and released or jailed. Conditions like MRSA, HIV, Hepatitis A/B/C, Tuberculosis can remain in your cruisers and processing areas. Law enforcement in need of police car cleaning or booking area decontamination can call us at 856-223-1010 for special pricing and discounting.

Norovirus / Salmonella
Norovirus (formerly confused with the stomach flu) is a virus potential of causing an outbreak. Outbreaks of norovirus infection often occur in closed or semi-closed communities, such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, prisons, dormitories, and cruise ships where once the virus has been introduced, the infection spreads very rapidly by either person-to-person transmission or through contaminated food. SMRS utilizes a cleaning process to assist in combating the potential for re-infection. Infection usually lasts and runs its course in 24-72 hours. While handwashing is the best method to curtail the spread of the virus, cleaning of surfaces is recommended due to the potential of an aerosolized version of the virus resultant from sufferers who are vomiting. Call us for special pricing.

Salmonella poisoning can be just as daunting as being infected with Norovirus. Effects general last for 3 to 7 days and can be highly contagious. Identifying where the infection came from is paramount. Transmission can be from person to person, infected food sources, or sometimes even infected pets. Coming in contact with an infected person’s fecal matter will most certainly result in transmission unless the proper precautions are taken. Contact Sensitive Matters and leave this cleanup to us! We will come out and utilize our process to clean your facility. There is no need to risk your workers or loved ones safety. Special rates may apply.
